Katrina kaif shila ki jawani Photogallary

Nana Patekar not impressed with Kat's Sheila ki Jawani

Katrina Kaif may have become a rage with her saucy song " Sheila ki jawani", but actor Nana Patekar who has worked with her in the past says he was not so impressed with the hit item number from "Tees Maar Khan".

"I have seen Katrina in a different way. I didn't like to see her doing 'Sheila ki jawani'," Nana told.

Nana and Katrina shared screen space in "Welcome" and "Raajneeti". Though Nana has no reservation for item numbers and featured in one himself - "Hoth rasiley" in Welcome - he feels such songs should be situational.

"I can't use gimmick and item songs in my films for public attraction. If it's used, it should be like 'Seekh le' of 'Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.'," he added.

Tees Maar khan advance

The advance booking counters of Tees Maar Khan opened on Wednesday morning at most places. Single screens normally start advance on Monday but here even the advance at most single screens was held back till Wednesday and the results were fantastic all over.

The largest multiplex chain in India PVR sold a record 10,000 plus tickets in one day.

Delite Delhi had an advance of 6.50 lakhs nett which is already 38% of the Dabangg whole week collection of nearly 17 lakhs.

Mona Patna saw a mad rush as 3500 were tickets sold while it was similar at Paradise Kolkata where 2800 tickets were sold. Both are amongst biggest single screens in India.

The advance is huge which means humungous weekend business but for records to go it is always current rather than advance which proves to be the most important factor especially in the time of multiple shows and huge release.

Is that all over between Ranbir & Katrina?

Ranbir and Katrina’s relationship had a rocky run from the very beginning. Their arguments constantly revolved around insecurity and loyalty issues. Katrina felt Ranbir wasn’t giving her enough time, while he felt extremely stifled towards the end. After her split from Salman, Katrina wanted to give her relation with Ranbir everything. There was even a time when she contemplated going public.

But then, things took turn for the worse. Enter his Rockstar co-star Nargis Fakhri, a Kingfisher calendar girl, who along with her looks had the right attitude to attract RK’s attention. A source spills the beans on how things went down, “It wasn’t a surprise for anyone.

They had been arguing and fighting for over a month. When the new gal got in the frame, it only got worse. Kat was totally against him spending time with her. There were times when he was with Fakhri and wouldn’t pick up Katrina’s calls. He said they were meeting to see the film’s rushes, but later she realised he was just making excuses to spend time with her.”

‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ poster copied from ‘Lords of Dogtown’ poster

It comes as a huge disappointment that a Akhtar could be accused of ripping off a foreign film. Still, here it is. First comes news that the story of Zoya’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ is a ripoff ‘The Hangover’ where four friends go on a bachelor trip before one of them gets married. Its Hrithik who is about to be married in the film.

Now we have the poster of the film looking uncannily like the poster of ‘Lords of Dogtown’ .

Now Salman-Katrina team up for Yash Raj movie

I am doing Kabir's film...Katrina is there in the film. But it is not a superhero film. I can't say what the film is about. I am honoured to work with Yashji who has worked closely with my father in the past," Salman told PTI.

Bollywood hearthrobs Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif will scorch the screen together after a gap of three years, in a romantic thriller under the Yash Raj Films banner, a first for the 'Dabanng' superstar.

"It is a very ambitious project and will be a challenge for all of us, but that's exactly what makes it such a big draw," he said.

The film, produced by Aditya Chopra is written and directed by Kabir Khan of 'New York' fame. Titled 'Ek Tha Tiger' it is Salman's first film under the YRF banner and will go on floors in early July and release in mid-2012. The music will be scored by Pritam.

Yash Chopra described the project as a 'happy moment' for him. "Everyone knows my association with Salim saab, having worked together on 'Deewaar', 'Trishul' and 'Kaala Patthar'. It is a very happy moment for me and YRF to have his son Salman with us for the first time. Over the years, Salman has become a very matured and talented actor and both he and the beautiful Katrina have a tremendous connect with their audiences."
Chopra said with Kabir's edgy directorial skills, he was looking forward to a thrilling movie.

Salman and Katrina were first seen together in 2005 in 'Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya', directed by David Dhawan. The couple again shared screen space in Dhawan's 'Partner' starring Salman and Govinda in the lead roles although the star was paired opposite Lara in the 2007 blockbuster.

A year later in Subhash Ghai's 'Yuvvraaj' the two actors were paired opposite each other but the movie bombed at the box office.

Now, Salman would be seen opposite Asin in Anees Bazmee’s 'Ready', a comedy that releases on June 3. "I am all looking forward for 'Ready'. I just hope we stand up to the expectations," he said.

The 45-year-old actor will also be seen in brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri's up-coming romantic-action film 'Bodyguard' opposite Kareena Kapoor, slated to release on August 31 this year.

Directed by brother Sohail Khan, Salman's next film will be 'Sher Khan', followed by Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Kick' with Shirish Kunder. Then there will be 'Banda Yeh Bindaas Hai' an up-coming comedy film directed by Ravi Chopra, starring Salman, Lara Dutta, Govinda, Tabu and Boman Irani among others.

About the status of the film, Salman said, "We have completed the film...Chopra sahib is not keeping well...so shayad release aataka hua hai (so the release is on a halt)."

The director was served with a legal notice in 2009 by 20th Century Fox, which charged that the movie blatantly plagiarised the 1992 Hollywood comedy film 'My Cousin Vinny'.

Chopra and the production company, Mumbai-based BR Films, denied the charges in court in May 2009 but the movie's release was delayed until June 2009 by order of the Bombay High Court. The film is expected to release in July this year.
